Thank you for your interest in New North Ventures. In advance of your pitch call, please review this document and be prepared to speak to these facets of your company and vision. Our team will have reviewed your deck in advance, so in the interest of making the best use of your time, we prefer to discuss the items below on our call. Please feel free to call out any updates beyond the deck we should be aware of.
Please note that we are an Office of Strategic Capital SBA fund and in the event of an investment, we will require information rights that include annual financial statements and some additional, ancillary items in order to remain compliant with SBA guidelines.
For background on New North Ventures, we are an early-stage venture fund founded in 2021 that invests in dual-use technologies focused on the critical technology areas of the Department of Defense. We just launched Fund II and our typical investment size is $1M - $3M. We prefer to take lead / co-lead in an investment round. Our Fund 1 portfolio consists of 17 companies with a total of 24 investments.
Opportunity companies are reviewed in our weekly Partners committee meeting, and you should expect to hear a response on our interest in next steps or a decline within 1-2 weeks of your pitch.
